We manufacture a wide range of non-woven, Needle punch felts based on reclaimed, virgin, and natural fibres.
At Edward Clay & Son we manufacture a wide range of Business-to-Business Felt Solutions. Applications range from ‘textile fillings for mattresses’ to ‘wool packaging’ to ‘basket liners’.
Fibres can be blended in any combination to satisfy specific requirements whether it be of a biodegradable, sustainable or fire retardant nature. Fibres are also available, pre felted, in bale form.
The company use a variety of reclaimed, virgin, manmade and natural fibres.

Needle Punch
Needle punching is a traditional textile process whereby fibres are interlocked mechanically using barbed needles.
Non-Woven Technology
At Edward Clay & Son Ltd, we use two forms of non-woven technology. Airlay, in which fibres are orientated vertically. Carding, fibres are cross lapped horizontally.
